Well, yesterday, actually.
Finally setting the US (and the world) free of the evil clutches of Japanese competitive eating tyrant Kobayashi, American Joey Chestnut crushed our collective nemesis on American soil yesterday, downing 66 hotdogs (a new world record) to Kobayashi's 63 at the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Competition. Kobayashi was so thoroughly crushed that, in trying to keep up with the American, he ended up spewing. Good stuff.
This is the kind of thing that needs to happen on July 4th. We should be asserting our dominance all over the place. Nobody comes into our house and wins!
