Blazer Updates

A couple of interesting things mentioned in Jason Quick's blog today, other than Greg Oden's side-lining due to tonsillitis.
  1. Steve Francis is gone. The Blazers expect to lose about $27 million in the deal, after he gets signed by a new team.
  2. LaMarcus Aldridge is injured. He appears to have a bone bruise in his heel. Nothing serious (we hope).
  3. James Jones and Rudy Fernandez are now, finally, official Blazers.
  4. When asked whether Jones will be our starting SF, Kevin Pritchard tipped his hand that the team's still moving on things.

Numbers 1 and 3 are no surprise. Number 2 is a minor story, unless the minor injury turns into something worse. And number 4 may be exciting, unless KP's just being coy as the Blazers still haven't sealed the deal on Travis Outlaw. But Quick, who knows the team much better than I do, indicates that (to him) KP's statements are indicative of at least one more "big move" this summer.

I can't wait to see what it might be. For those who thought that it might be Steve Blake, he wouldn't seem to affect the SF starter. So we'll see.
