Off to the Homeland (and further impending absenteeism)

I'll be gone alot in the next couple of weeks. Tomorrow morning I leave for Minnesota so that my daughter can meet my dearly-departed father's side of the family (particularly my aging grandpa before he slips the surly bonds), and that trip ends Sunday.

Then, next Thursday, the whole family will up and leave for a roadie to California. Planned stops: Wildlife Safari, The Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Greater Santa Barbara Metropolitan Area (where my brother-in-law lives).

That's a lot of travel with a near-2-year-old girl.

Sure, she's cute now. Wait 'til we get on the plane, though...

Don't let her fool you...

Wish me luck.

One word for you: benadryl.

Yes, I am telling you to medicate your child. Don't you know that airplanes are just *teeming* with foreign histamines that your young one *might* have a negative reaction to?

Did you feel guilty for giving her baby Tylenol before she got her shots? Then don't feel guilty about this, either.

She got Benadryl on the flight to California, and she'll get it this time, too. Big believer in pre-emptive allergy prevention for toddlers...

She is absolutely adorable. You and your wife need more of them. We're waiting on number three (a girl finally) due in December.

Thank you for a picture...finally!

Denise!

Stop by and say hello sometime, will you?
