Well, I'm still living by a "no pay for Blazer games" philosophy. It's become much easier now that I have cable and can watch them from home, but it's led to a drought of fresh game re-caps as I only write those when I'm actually there to see what I'm re-capping.
As you may recall, I made a vow not to pay for games until wholesale changes were made in the franchise. Two specific changes were the dealing of Darius and the dealing of Z-Bo.
I've softened on Z-Bo. I still want him gone, but with Darius more-or-less out of the picture Z-Bo's been a much-improved product on the floor and so I can tolerate him for now. But Darius is still on the team, even if he's not there, so I'm still not entirely off my "no-pay" philosophy.
I mean, I think I'd probably pay to see a good game against a good team. But probably not.
However, a friend came through with a pair of tickets for tonight. Not just tickets. No nose-bleeds for me. Good seats with the food bracelets and all that stuff. Free parking. Uber tickets, if you will.
So, I'll be there tonight. Come back tomorrow for a couple of game pics and a re-cap...I plan on taking notes between beers.
